A law firm on call, for a flat monthly fee
LegalShield memberships give you and your business a dedicated provider law firm for everyday legal questions: a contract you are not sure about, a letter that needs a lawyer's name on it, a will that never got written. Cheri enrolls members directly as an independent associate.
What does a LegalShield plan cover?
The everyday legal work most people put off because a lawyer's hourly rate scares them. You call the provider law firm, and the membership covers the consultation.
- Consultations. Advice from the provider firm on personal legal matters, by phone, without a per-question bill.
- Letters and calls on your behalf. A landlord, a contractor, or a company that is not responding usually answers when the letter comes from a law firm.
- Document review. A lease, a purchase agreement, or an employment contract read by an attorney before you sign it.
- Will preparation. A standard will drafted and updated through the membership, which is often the single feature that pays for the plan.
- Traffic matters. Help with moving violations and related issues, subject to the plan's terms.
Coverage details vary by plan and state. The plan contract controls, and some matters are covered at a discount rather than in full.

Two kinds of plan, one provider firm
Personal plans cover you and your household. Small business plans cover the company. Many owners carry both, because a contract dispute and a will are different problems.
Personal plans
For individuals and families. Consultations on personal legal questions, letters and calls from the provider firm, review of personal documents, will preparation, and help with traffic matters. Coverage extends to your spouse and dependent children under most plans.
Small business plans
For owners who sign contracts, hire people, and send invoices. Contract and document review, debt collection letters sent on the firm's letterhead, and consultations on business questions. Tiers scale with company size and the amount of review time included.

How the membership works
You enroll through Cheri's associate link, pick the plan that fits, and a provider law firm in your state is assigned to your membership. From then on, you call the firm directly.
Cheri is an independent LegalShield associate. She does not practice law and does not handle your legal matter. Her role is to help you pick the right plan, get enrolled correctly, and stay a phone call away if the membership ever needs adjusting.
- Billed monthly as a membership, with cancellation handled under the plan terms
- Members are matched with a provider firm licensed in their state
- Personal and small business plans can be held at the same time
When a membership pays for itself
The math most members use is simple. One hour of attorney time at typical rates usually costs more than a year of membership. Any of these situations gets you there.
Most adults with children do not have one. Drafting it through the membership is often the first thing new members do.
A lease, a vendor agreement, or a client contract reviewed before it becomes a problem instead of after.
A letter from a law firm changes the tone of the conversation, for renters and for business owners alike.
Covered matters get attorney help under the plan terms, which many members never realized was included.
General examples. Whether a specific matter is covered, discounted, or excluded depends on the plan and the provider firm's review.

LegalShield questions
A LegalShield membership gives you a dedicated provider law firm for a flat monthly fee. Personal plans cover consultations, letters and calls on your behalf, document review, will preparation, and traffic matters.
Small business plans add contract and document review, debt collection letters, and consultations on business questions. Cheri is an independent associate and can enroll you directly.
If you sign contracts, hire people, or send invoices, one hour of attorney time usually costs more than a year of membership. That is the math most owners use.
It is not the right fit if you already keep an attorney on retainer or expect to need litigation, which memberships cover only partially.
